Hong Kong, 2 December 2008 - Two Up Front will once again handle worldwide PR and run the media centre at the €2.1 million Ballantine’s Championship golf tournament in Korea, having played a key role in the success of the inaugural event.

"The first Ballantine’s Championship earlier this year went extremely well and the challenge in 2009 will be to improve on this,” said Two Up Front editorial director Niall Donnelly.

"We are delighted to be involved once again and we¡¦re looking forward to what promises to be another fantastic tournament.”

The 2009 Ballantine’s Championship will be staged from April 23-26 at Pinx Golf Club on the picturesque holiday island of Jeju.

Pinx was also the venue for the first edition of the tournament in 2008 - an event that attracted phenomenal interest from the public and media.

Large galleries enjoyed four days of brilliant weather and thrilling action culminating in Northern Ireland’s Graeme McDowell beating Indian Jeev Milkha Singh on the third playoff hole.

In addition to handling worldwide PR, Hong Kong-based Two Up Front staffed and ran the on-site media centre for the duration of tournament week, hosting 165 domestic and overseas journalists and photographers.

The company worked closely with its partners in Korea to ensure the tournament - co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours and Korea PGA - made a huge impact in its inaugural year.

Two Up Front also handles PR and publishing for the UBS Hong Kong Open, which is co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours and is one of Asia’s oldest and most prestigious golf tournaments.

Golf is just one sport in Two Up Front’s catalogue of PR and publishing activities - the company also has extensive experience in rugby, tennis, football, motor racing and motorcycling.
