TUF SHOWS PERFECT TIMING AT THE OMEGA HONG KONG OPEN Hong Kong, November 11, 2004 - Two Up Front has added another prestigious sporting event to its growing public relations portfolio – the Omega Hong Kong Open golf tournament. The Hong Kong-based sports publishing and media relations company has been contracted by the tournament promoter, Parallel Media Group, to provide public relations expertise at the Open, to be held at the Hong Kong Golf Club on December 2-5, 2004. Two Up Front will be issuing regular press releases before and during the tournament – including field announcements, biographies of the leading players and round-by-round reports – and will also publish a daily newsletter, Open Update, for spectators. Commenting on the agreement, Parallel Media Group’s vice-president of sales and marketing for Asia Pacific, Mr Martin Capstick, said: “We are delighted to welcome Two Up Front into the Omega Hong Kong Open clubhouse. Two Up Front has an excellent track record in sports publishing and media relations and is a natural partner for Parallel Media Group in publicising this great golf tournament.” Two Up Front’s production director, Mr Simon Wait, said: “We are proud to be involved in such a high-profile event. The Omega Hong Kong Open is in its 46th year, making it Hong Kong’s oldest professional sporting event, and it is one of the premier tournaments on the Asian Tour. We look forward to working with Parallel Media Group and all other parties involved in the Omega Hong Kong Open to make the tournament an outstanding success.” Two Up Front previously handled international public relations for the inaugural China Open tennis tournament – featuring some of the world’s best players, including Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Marat Safin and Juan Carlos Ferrero – in Beijing in September 2004. The Omega Hong Kong Open agreement cements Two Up Front’s reputation as a dynamic and innovative market leader. As well as public relations, the company is responsible for a broad range of sports publications and event-specific souvenir programmes in a variety of sports including tennis, golf, rugby union and motorcycling.
