TWO UP FRONT SCORES A CLASSIC ONE-TWO Hong Kong, January 22, 2007 - Golf experts Two Up Front have been signed up to handle worldwide PR for China's TCL Classic for the second year running. The Hong Kong-based company will once again conduct a comprehensive PR campaign before and during the tournament and run the media centre when the event is staged on March 15-18 at Yalong Bay Golf Club in Sanya on the resort island of Hainan. "Last year's TCL Classic was an outstanding success across the board, and that included excellent media attendance and coverage," said Two Up Front editorial director Niall Donnelly. "Naturally, we are very pleased to be returning to the tournament and we will be aiming to build on last year's media interest and make the 2007 event even more special. "Golf in China is booming - the country is hosting more European and Asian Tour events than ever before, there are some highly talented professionals coming up through the ranks and new courses are being constructed everywhere. These are exciting times for Chinese golf and it is great to be involved." Last year's TCL Classic saw Sweden's Johan Edfors capture his first European Tour title - a triumph he used as a springboard to further success with two more European Tour victories later in the year. The 2007 tournament - once again co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours - will be another event on Two Up Front’s impressive golfing portfolio that includes handling worldwide PR for the prestigious UBS Hong Kong Open.
