RECORD MEDIA ATTENDANCE AT UBS HONG KONG OPEN

Hong Kong, November 24, 2006 - Two Up Front's PR campaign and media management strategy for the 2006 UBS Hong Kong Open resulted in a record number of journalists attending the golf tournament and a more than 100% increase in worldwide news coverage.

A total of 199 personnel from 95 different media organisations or publications attended the showpiece event at the Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling on November 16-19.

"Media interest in this year's tournament was phenomenal," said Two Up Front's project director, Simon Wait. "Last year, we had 121 attendees, a figure that was already a huge leap from 2004, so to attract almost 200 people this time was extremely gratifying.

"Media interest in the UBS Hong Kong Open is clearly at an all-time high, which is a reflection not only on how the tournament has expanded and evolved in recent years, but also on the much-improved PR and media management operation.

"We made sure that news organisations received as much relevant information as possible about the UBS Hong Kong Open both in the build-up to, and during, the tournament.

"In addition, the facilities for journalists and photographers attending the event were top class, with a superbly equipped media centre, multilingual staff, on-site technical support and excellent catering. The feedback from media who attended was extremely positive."

In addition to handling worldwide PR and running the media centre, Hong Kong-based Two Up Front published the official souvenir programme and produced daily drawsheets and newsletters for fans.

The 2006 UBS Hong Kong Open – won by Jose Manuel Lara of Spain – also attracted record crowds. More than 10,000 fans packed into the Hong Kong Golf Club for the final round, taking total attendance for the four-day tournament to over 21,000.

The 2006 tournament marked the first year of a new three-year agreement Two Up Front has reached with event promoter Parallel Media Group to handle PR and publishing for the golf showpiece.
