ASIAWIDE MEDIA & GAME ON JOIN FORCES TO FORM TWO UP FRONT,
A NEW SPORTS PR AND PUBLISHING COMPANY

Hong Kong, November 17, 2003 - Asiawide Media, a leading Hong Kong web development and print publishing agency, and Game On (HK), a specialist sports communications company, today announced the formation of Two Up Front, a new partnership that aims to breath fresh life into Asia's sports PR and publishing scene.

Two Up Front, which will move into new Central offices in December, is the brainchild of Niall Donnelly, owner of Game On (HK), and Simon Wait, who founded Asiawide Media in October 2000.

Mr Donnelly embarks on the venture after a four-year spell as sports editor of the South China Morning Post, during which he revamped and expanded the newspaper's sports section, instigated a comprehensive overhaul of racing coverage and oversaw the production of special supplements for the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2002 World Cup and the annual Hong Kong Rugby Sevens.

Game On (HK) was founded in early 2003, after Mr Donnelly spotted a gap in quality sports publishing and communications in the region.

Mr Wait has worked for more than 20 years in publishing and communications, including spells as sports editor of newspapers in England and Bermuda. He was recently content manager at TOM.COM and, before that, manager of publications at the Hong Kong Tourism Board. During his career he has been the lead designer on two successful newspaper revamps (one of which won a national UK design award) and has created design concepts for a number of magazines.

In 2000, Mr Wait founded Asiawide Media, a web development, graphic design and print publishing company with a client list that includes Coca-Cola Asia, National Geographic, International Financial Services and Reader's Digest.

The new partnership, Two Up Front, has already scored its first success by winning the contract to take over Rugby Talk, the official monthly magazine of the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union (HKRFU). The new publishers have promised Rugby Talk will undergo a radical change, with a dynamic new design and a complete overhaul of editorial content. It will boast an expanded news section, player profiles, personality interviews, innovative and interesting features, new columnists, top-quality photography and an expanded Chinese language section. The first new-look issue will hit the streets in mid-December.

"It is an exciting challenge to be spearheading the relaunch of Rugby Talk and I am confident the new-look magazine will be a big hit with readers," said Mr Donnelly. "Our goal is to produce a bright and imaginative publication that showcases Hong Kong's vibrant rugby scene – and I am certain we will achieve this."

Allan Payne, executive director of the HKRFU, added: "We are delighted to welcome Niall and Simon on board. Their professional expertise will go a long way towards making Rugby Talk a publication the whole Hong Kong rugby community can be proud of. As a union we are committed to spreading the rugby gospel and improving our product both on and off the pitch – and this is an important step in that direction."
